CHILDREN DISCOVER THE GREAT OUTDOORS AT THE
KIDS COVE POWERED BY RADIO DISNEY AT THE TEXAS FISHING, HUNTING & OUTDOORS SHOW
The 14th Annual Texas Fishing, Hunting & Outdoors Show, January 7-10, 2010 at the Arlington Convention Center is the Southwest’s premier annual sporting event that provides a family friendly environment for discovering the great outdoors.
At the Kids Cove Powered by Radio Disney, children will be entertained and have great fun learning. The Radio Disney AM 620 Road Crew has some super games planned including:
- Wader relay
- Fishing for prizes
- Boat safety trivia
- Show Boat
- Scavenger hunt
- Kiss a fish
Plus, at the Kids Cove, future anglers can try their hand at fishing in the Catfish Tank.
Nearby, there’s the 6,000 gallon aquarium, transformed for the show into a natural habitat for thirty to forty fish of various species. Throughout the show, pros will demonstrate great angling tips from a boat at the top of the unit.
In addition to fishing and games, and their families can learn how to shoot a bow, with the help of members of the Texins Archery Club.
The dog training demonstrations will provide valuable techniques for every family with a dog for a family pet.
Children and adults alike will be amazed as they visit the Raptor Project with its mesmerizing hawks, falcons, owls and other birds of prey.
